Sichuan textile industry profit growth declines

From January to April this year, the economy of the textile industry in Sichuan Province was generally stable, with steady growth in production, but the growth rate of profits declined. According to statistics, from January to April, the province's textile enterprises above designated size achieved a total industrial output value of 43.886 billion yuan, an increase of 22.72% year-on-year; the main business revenue was 40.516 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.74%, a decrease of 4.26 percentage points from the previous quarter; The rate was 4.84%, a decrease of 0.06 percentage points from the previous quarter. From January to April, Sichuan's textiles, clothing, and silk products exported 259 million U.S. dollars, 214 million U.S. dollars, and 67.84 million U.S. dollars, respectively, down 17.8%, 21.7%, and 0.4% year-on-year respectively.

According to statistics, from January to April, Sichuan's cotton textile industry achieved total industrial output value, sales revenue, and profits of 28.249 billion yuan, 26.08 billion yuan, and 1.21 billion yuan, respectively, an increase of 18.54%, 17.7%, and 29.4% year-on-year respectively. The yarn production of enterprises above the designated size of the province was 335,800 tons, an increase of 17.69% over the same period of last year; the cloth output was 526 million meters, an increase of 22.22% over the same period of last year. Since May, the cotton textile market has continued to decline, and some SMEs have taken measures such as suspending production lines.

From January to April, garments and clothing enterprises above designated size produced 4,016,200 garments, an increase of 37.31% year-on-year; total industrial output value was 6.504 billion yuan, an increase of 45.28%; sales revenue was 6.13 billion yuan, an increase of 40.3%; profits and taxes were 687 million yuan. , an increase of 37.95%; profit of 450 million yuan, an increase of 32.8%. Production and sales in the entire industry are basically stable. As the price of terminal clothing products is reduced, the processing profits of garment enterprises in the province are reduced.

From January to April, the output of chemical fiber companies above designated size reached 252,600 tons, an increase of 29.38%; sales revenue was 5.82 billion yuan, an increase of 13.5%; profits and taxes were 361 million yuan, an increase of 1.12%.

At present, the demand in the international market is still sluggish and the domestic market is showing signs of recovery. It is expected that the cotton textile enterprises in Sichuan Province will continue to push ahead under pressure during the first half of the year.
