In China, the recorded jade culture has been more than 8,000 years old. The ancients said that "Jade has five virtues", that is, benevolence, righteousness, wisdom, courage, and cleanliness. Confucius said: "The gentleman has no reason, and jade does not go to the body." Xu Shen also said in "Shu Wen Jie Zi" that "Jade, the beauty of the stone", it can be seen that the value of jade in the hearts of Chinese people.

As the saying goes, thousands of agates are all kinds of jade. Among all kinds of jade, Hetian jade, known as the translucent stone, is the best one in nephrite because it is not easy to be corroded and has strong toughness. Therefore, it is deeply loved by jade collectors. Its cultural history has exceeded 5,000 years.

In the home of Mr. Ren, a jade collector, we have seen many representative Hetian jade collections.

The first is a Qing Dynasty Hetian jade "flower basket" pendant, 5.5 cm high, 5 cm wide and 0.8 cm thick. The material is transparent, beautiful in shape, craftsmanship, thick patina, and difficult to engrave. The basket of the basket is fully engraved with a Yin line. The center of the basket has a flower-shaped hollow that is drilled by a small drill. The whole basket is hollowed out, and there is a circle of gold wire in the middle of the beam. The most attractive part of the flower basket is the connection between the girders and the basket, which is shaped by a living sculpture and the girders can move freely.

The jade carving reached its peak during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. It has a typical "exclusive gimmick" pendant, which is shaped like a doll standing on the back of the donkey. The whole method uses the two methods of yin and hollow. It is a legendary auspicious beast. There is a sly image on the stone steps in front of the palace of the Qing Dynasty. Once the literati in the past is admitted to the champion, they can stand on this gimmick, meaning that the future is bright. Such pendants used to be mostly used by officials.

In the modern jade carving period, due to the indiscriminate mining of jade, a slightly larger amount of seed material is extremely rare, and the art of carving is largely limited by the size of the seed material. Mr. Ren took out a modern jade carving "Blocking the Monkey (Hous)", which was shaped like a horse riding a small monkey on his back. The horse looked back at the monkey. This kind of theme appeared in the Qing Dynasty. This piece is carved out of a piece of white jade seed. It is about 8 cm long and 6 cm high. The material is delicate and warm, and it looks like it is oiling out.

In addition, Mr. Ren also showed several old jade collections. There is a piece of "Three Sheep Kaitai" ornaments in the Song and Yuan Dynasties. A big sheep looks back at two lambs, working like a Han, and using a hollow carving method. Although this pendant has undergone a long history of change, it is not incomplete, showing the extent to which generations of masters love and cherish it. Because jade is a symbol of warding off evil and psychic, the old jade uses auspicious and wishful subjects, such as the "Fuqing fish (Yu)" ornaments with Pisces, and the ornaments of "Fu, Lu, Shou" Samsung. and many more.

Mr. Ren said: "There is a saying that 'My family has a woman who grows up' and describes the feeling of being proud of women. Looking at the jade that has been collected for so many years, my heart has a 'My family has a jade first. 'The delight!'
