"Re-making bank" domestic clothing debut for a more powerful move forward

It is purely coincidental. Zhang Na designers have chosen this day "clothes recycling bank" (ReclothingBank) held a unique fashion publications for her environmental recycling project. After six years of practice and exploration, more than 80 well-designed garments have been selected for their historical and humanistic feelings, and Zhang Yuan, known as the “first public space in modern China”, has been reborn with a brand new attitude. The old clothes that have passed through the years are circulated in a new attitude through demolition, remodeling and redesign. Ever since, the dignity of the clothes in the 1970s and 1980s, the publicity of the clothing in the 1990s, the rapid glow of the "fast fashion" after the arrival of 2000... even with the texture of the Oriental kimono when the designer traveled privately, all were Zhang Na refactored into the design and became a kind of “memorable” fashion. These clothes seem to be the medium of time. When wearing their models, they walked through the most fashionable trend of the beach in 1885. Time and place day after day, the dialectical interpretation once again merged into a powerful fashion force. If the world is too fast, why not make it to fight forgotten?

The warmth of the pulse and the heart of the object. How to condense past time into a contemporary essence, how to reproduce the memory of people with a new baptism. This is the re-making bank. The re-making bank began in 2011, and its core is the Upcycle, which uses modern design language to showcase diverse collages. After many years of practice, Zhang Na summed up a set of design methods to turn accidental materials into usable fabrics; for the same type but different eras of materials, based on the commonality of their structures, standard pattern design and production, Retrofitting templates means they can be mass-produced and reduce raw material waste. The re-wearing bank presents a colorful blend of styles, from new dresses and jackets that have been remodeled with old clothes and stockings, to suits and coats made with the best patchwork materials. In the contemporary era, it has become a brand new fashion clothing that continues to be loved and worn by everyone.

In recent years, re-making banks are low-key, but not alone. Thanks to the care and support of the media and friends from all walks of life, “Re-making Bank” has been continually and vigorously voiced: In 2011, “Re-making Bank” was invited as the only fashion design project in China to participate in the Vienna Design Festival; in 2013, “ The exhibition of “Re-making Bank” was held in an old house in Jing’an District, Shanghai. In 2013, Zhang Na was selected as “China’s Top Ten Environmental Heroes” by “The Bund Pictorial” with the “Re-making Bank”; in 2014, Zhang Na and “ “Re-making Bank” was selected as the “Influential Event of China Fashion” in 2015. Zhang Na has always believed that the beauty and happiness brought by clothes can also reach the soul, and the re-making bank is the medium to link the past and the future in the present. Just as 407 years ago, Galileo aimed the self-made telescope at the moon, exploring the future and the unknown; Zhang Na also hoped to explore the human heart by re-making the bank. The re-construction bank's first show in China, with the support and help of many friends, director, actor Tian Yuan, fashion photographer Huan Island for the "re-making bank" film, will be on the scene to meet with you. The short film produced by independent artist Wang Ling and photographer Jo (AgencyOneFine), as well as the installation works created with the concept of "rebirth" are also presented in the show.
