Pepsi Appoints Indian Female CEO to Be the Largest Female Enterprise in the United States

Yesterday, the reporter confirmed from PepsiCo China that PepsiCo has appointed Indra Nuy, CFO and President of the company, as its new CEO, effective from October this year. Nuy became the first female CEO in the history of PepsiCo, and PepsiCo has since become the largest female company in the United States.

In early August, the Pepsi Cola Company of India had just experienced an excessive storm of pesticides, and its products were strongly banned by Indian officials. However, American PepsiCo issued a statement on the 4th, insisting that the soft drinks they produce are safe products, and claimed that its products in more than 200 countries and regions in the world are in line with local and international beverage standards.

Nui, 50, helped PepsiCo to spin off its catering and bottling operations and participated in the 1998 acquisition of juice maker Tropicana. Investors have expressed their optimism for Nui, who believes that Nuui has long been the right-hand man of former CEO Steve Lemmenf. He has participated in most of the company's strategic decisions for many years and is expected to lead the company in a smooth transition.
