A two-component composite spunbonded nonwoven fabric comprising polyethylene as a skin layer and polypropylene as a core layer. Raw materials can be PE/PP, PE/PA, PP/PP. The core type can be made into different ratios such as 50/50 and 20/80, and can be made into the same core or eccentric. The side-by-side type can also be made into 50/50, 20/80, AB type, ABA type and the like. It is generally produced by hot air or hot rolling bonding technology. The specifications of the product are 15 to 60 g/m2. It has excellent heat sealability, and it is possible to form sheath-core bicomponent fibers using polymers having different melting points. The product strength is 10% to 25% higher than that of ordinary spunbond products. It can be applied to diapers, napkins, etc., and its unit quality can be reduced. The two-component polymer retains its shape retention when it is deeply tensioned. If the correct spinning technique is used, it can produce a very soft, drape, silk-like product. In addition, hydrophilic, water repellent and antistatic surface treatments are also possible.
At present, there are many companies in the world such as BBA, Japan, and Uniczka, which produce such products. In China, Shaoxing Yaolong and Shanghai Hefei have started to develop and produce. According to reports, in mid-July 2006, a company in Tianjin also officially signed an agreement with the US Nordson Corporation to introduce a complete line of non-woven two-component melt-blown nonwovens. It is said that the width of this equipment is 24 m. Polyester, nylon and polypropylene chips can be used as raw materials to produce two-component melt-blown nonwoven fabric with a minimum fineness of 0 7d.
