Chinese photography artist Liu Lijie graduated from Beijing Film Academy and currently lives and works in Beijing. The photographer from Shenyang, Liaoning Province, has been an avid fan of movies since he was young. The language of the movie has greatly influenced her artistic creations today. The series of works presented in her first solo exhibition, Another Episode, in 2010 contained a special narrative ability to inspire. The girls in the works often live in bizarre plots, or panic, or do not know what to do, as if they are deviating from the main road and walking in the wrong path. The picture is filled with a strong Hitchcock-like sense of suspense, as if the cross-section of a time tunnel, represents a time-critical point of subtle touch nerves. It affects the audience's imagination and continues to extend endlessly. Before this moment, it was a mysterious past. From then on, it was a future that wasn’t finished. Everything does not exist, everything never happened. However, all the scenes have been repeatedly staged in the minds of the artists.

Liu Lijie loves fantasy and loves illusions. She is a planner and a maker of all things. In a sense, she is more like a film director than just a screen capturer. Her work involves scene design, character setting, and on-site instruction. His working methods can be defined as "directed" photography. . She again and again allowed the heroine to be on a dramatic occasion, or absurd, or dangerous. I believe that, to a considerable extent, she has projected emotions in her works during her own growth. I also believe that she had once put herself in danger in her illusions. Imagined the blade again and again across her skin and imagined herself again and again in an abyss. She is obsessed with dangerous and dramatic moments, nervous and enjoying. In any case, her picture still shows a rich and vibrant tone, telling us that she is an optimistic pessimist.

In 2014, Liu Lijie was invited by the “Dee Miss” Art Exhibition. She drew inspiration from the “fan” of one of the classic creative elements of the Dior Fashion House and created a group of “Fan” fans. (Fan-Fan) photography. In the early stage of his creation, Liu Lijie keenly felt the double meaning of fan's English vocabulary. At the same time, he had two definitions of “fan” and “supporter (fan)”, which brought her multiple creative clues. The shape of the fan is stretched and evolved in the picture. In addition, she also echoes the image of the fan holding the fan gently swinging in the fluttering skirt when the girl walks. She tells a story of “seeking, being sought, attracting and being attracted”. , From the very accurate to express the delicate mentality of the girl - with a dream, show charm.

This series of works continues Liu Lijie's iconic suspense. In the air, a giant metal floating object that does not know where to come from and where it is intended to show a sense of coercion by the deaf person. The girl looks up at this unknown object and is at a loss. This is the moment of solidification. Where did the unknown object come from? What happens next? The artist gave the audience the space of imagination.
